June Community Service: Lincoln Park Beach Cleanup
A great morning of service, teamwork, and community impact.
On Saturday morning, members gathered at Lincoln Park Beach for our monthly community service event. Despite the early start, volunteers arrived energized and ready to make a difference along Chicago's beautiful lakefront.
Making an Impact
Over the course of three hours, our team of 12 volunteers worked together to remove litter and debris from the beach and surrounding walking paths. By the end of the event, we had collected more than 30 bags of trash, helping create a cleaner and safer environment for visitors, local wildlife, and the community.
Beyond the cleanup itself, the event provided an opportunity for members to connect, collaborate, and strengthen friendships while giving back to the city we call home.
Community Through Service
One of the highlights of the morning was seeing both returning members and first-time volunteers working side by side. Their enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together around a common purpose.
Several beach visitors stopped to thank the group for our efforts, reminding us that even small actions can make a meaningful difference.
Looking Ahead
After wrapping up the cleanup, members gathered for brunch at a nearby restaurant to celebrate a successful morning and discuss future service projects.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this event a success.
We look forward to seeing even more members at our next community service event. Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to get involved and make a positive impact in our community!
